Fraudulent individuals representing themselves as Recruiters from Employment Professionals Canada are contacting individuals through Facebook Messenger, Instagram and Tic Toc offering remote work. Be wary of scammers who offer jobs and try to obtain personal information or pressuring for payments made to them through digital currency such as Bitcoin, Crypto and others as well as purchasing visa cards and providing the codes. Scammers will be unwilling to offer emails or contact numbers.
Employment Professionals Canada does not send unsolicited messages, especially through social media such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, etc., and we do not take any payment from job seekers who are looking for work or who have been successfully placed with an employer.
Here are some tips to stay safe:
- Confirm the identity of the person organization contacting you before sharing any sensitive information.

- If you think you have been a victim of a scam, please report it to the authorities as soon as possible.
